Study tours

We plan to run one or more dedicated study tours each year. Each tour will be focused on one or more of the following areas of interest:

•    Health & Wellbeing
•    Education
•    Community & Society

Each tour will be open to professionals and interested parties working in the specific area of focus – such as healthcare workers for a Health & Wellbeing related tour. The tours will combine educational (theoretical and practical), cultural and recreational elements including:
•    Presentations & lectures - delivered by experts in their field (including experts of the country being visited)
•    Courses and workshops
•    Tours and visits – both cultural and tour content specific (for example, a visit to a hospital or school where meditation is integrated into the work done)
•    Recreational time and activities

Each tour will normally be open to a maximum of 16 people and will be escorted by an experienced tour facilitator. We are currently planning a study tour to one of more of Bhutan, Nepal or Tibet (hopefully including a stay in Dharamsala in India) for the spring of 2011, which will be open to healthcare professionals and interested parties.

We also hope to offer a study tour to the US in the autumn of this year or spring of next year that will focus on meditation and mindfulness in education.

Please contact us to register your interest.
